(10 Sep. 2021) The Italian Military Ordinary Archbishop Mons. Santo Marcianò has appointed Don Sergio Siddi as the new Vicar General. He will take over from Monsignor Angelo Frigerio, in office until 19 September, who for several years, “with exemplary competence and reliability”, as the Ordinary pointed out, “carried out his service”, first as chaplain and then as a direct collaborator of the Archbishop.

Don Siddi, in service since 1993, has held various positions in the various departments to which he has been assigned. Among them, he was military chaplain at the Celio, at the General Command of the Guardia di Finanza and at the Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic. In a note sent to the diocesan presbytery, Monsignor Marcianò recommends “prayer that his ministry may be fruitful”.
