Today, under the auspices of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, the annual meeting with the moderators of international associations of the faithful, church movements and new communities took place at the presence of Cardinal Farrell.

150 participants from 85 different NGOs attended the meeting.
Cardinal Farrel gave an introduction on the relationship between the Pope and the movements, explaining how the movements are useful in spreading the faith and how they must increasingly collaborate in agreement with the bishops responsible for the territory. He emphasised how to do evangelisation in today’s world, how to put the charism into practice in today’s world and how movements proclaim the Kerigma.

Fr Paolo Prosperi analysed various points including the risks the new movements may incur including: self-referentialism, personalism and the petrification of the charism.
The meeting then reported on numerous testimonies from the groups including that one of the AMI President.
